Position
urbz is looking for a senior architect with a minimum of 15 years of experience in executing complex architectural and urban design projects, managing and motivating diverse teams, supervising consultants, contractors and engineers and maintaining a direct link with the client through the whole project from concept to execution. The person should endorse urbz's participative and user-centric approach to architecture and urban planning.
The Senior Architect will be responsible for running ongoing projects, linked current challenges concerning international organisations, mobility, workplaces, public space design and the environmental transition. The Senior Architect will internally be reporting to the project pilot. Externally, the s/he will be reporting to project managers and high level representatives on the client’s side.
The contract offered is a permanent full-time position with a one month leave notice, working from Geneva (Switzerland) without possibility of remote-working.
Candidates must send a CV, a motivation letter, five references of past projects, work certificates and diplomas until the 27th of January 2023. Successful candidates will be invited for an interview and skills assessment in the first week of February. Profile
S/he has
✔ A master's degree or equivalent in architecture from a reputed university.
✔ Experience in campus planning and design.
✔ Experience in managing large scale construction projects.
✔ International experience as senior architect.
✔ Experience working within a participatory framework.
✔ Experience managing landscaping and public space projects.
✔ Strong relationship and management skills.
✔ Proven capacity to lead a team.
✔ Knowledge of city planning and construction norms in Geneva and Swiss.
✔ A strong command of English and at least one other European language (Spanish an asset).
Technical Skills
✔ Proficient in use of CAD.
✔ Proficient in use of BIM .
✔ Proficient in use of parametric design.
✔ Proficient in use of manufacturing software.
✔ Proficient in use of graphic and web page design software.

✔ Coordinates with on site construction teams and suppliers.
✔ Assists in the preparation of support material for meetings with clients and stakeholders.
✔ Prepares and reviews tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
✔ Elaborates, reviews and approves work plans of service providers contracted for the project.
✔ Ensures successful implementation of projects within the defined scope, quality, planning and schedule, time, and budget, in close collaboration with the different partners and consultants.
✔ Sets financial progress reports and monitors cost.
✔ Produces urban plans at different scales.
