Our client is in the beautiful city of Oeiras – Portugal since 2014. They handle and provide mainly financial services to the entire European group to harmonize and optimize their financial processes.

Main Purpose of the Role: help desk support to suppliers/colleagues (includes supplier phone calls, emails, tickets), supplier creation/update and others. The Processing clerk will report to the AP Lead or Supervisor and the duties will include but will not be limited to: Invoices sending to colleagues or coding /approval request through the Invoice processing workflow.

Key Areas of responsibility

  • Answer to supplier in-country client language by phone or email
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Create/update supplier data in system
  • Liaise with colleagues in other countries/teams to solve issues with invoices
  • Look for continuously improving the processes
  • Validate (sample audit) that documents were correctly input into system
  • Redirect invoices to colleagues in France to coding/approval through the
  • invoice processing workflow
  • Prepare payment run
  • Process invoices in the accounts payable systems/workflow
  • Liaise with colleagues in other countries to solve discrepancies with invoices
  • Audit travel and expenses reports
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Look for continuously improving the processes

Key skills

  • Minimum of High School diploma
  • Native speaking or fluent in French with minimum B2
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • Attention to detail
  • IT skills: MS office
