​​General description of the position

Heads the Group Compensation & Benefits function. She/he designs and enables the appropriate Compensation and Benefits programs, which reflects and supports the Group’s business strategy and leadership philosophy. Process Manager of selected C&B sub-processes. Secure Group’s position as a competitive employer by providing benchmark compensation and benefits information and creating flexible and performance driven compensation structures and programs.

In charge of running local salary process and benefits programs for the HQ in Zug Switzerland (approx. 20 employees).


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements policies and concepts for:

- Best practice in Compensation systems for base pay, short- and long-term incentive compensation across the Group / Business activities

- Focus on being the "go to" person for any Compensation and Benefits related questions

- Benchmarking and technical salary comparison, ensure participation in the appropriate surveys

- Manages salary and bonus review process and develop further group wide roll-out

- Manages and supports the roll-out of the Group / Business activities wide grading system


  • Initiates and controls processes for:

- Create a group wide benefits inventory and consults on improvements

- Coordinates internal (Acc./Treas./Tax) and external (Broker, etc.) interfaces for Benefits

- Ensure Master Data Quality in Comp & Ben with a special focus on population management


  • People Management and Communication:

- Advice and educate the HR community in the usage of internal C&B Tools

- Contributes to the training of the in relation to bonus plan design / Benefits

- Initiates and secures efficient communication processes between Group, Business Activities and local entities in the C&B field

- Monitor internal and external compliance of Benefits administration


  • Process and project management:

- Contributes to the development and implementation of standardized processes across the Group / Business Activities in the C&B field

- Applies high efficient project management tools and secures professional project management in the C&B field

- Develops efficient and appropriate communication of C&B information to relevant target groups in the company


The ideal Candidate


Master’s in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent HR / Compensation education

Professional Experience:

- At least 6-8 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits / HR in multinational companies and / or consulting firms

- Profound experience in Compensation, benchmarking, grading, and Benefits area

- Strong analytical background and profound knowledge C&B tools

- Strong project management and project leadership experience (ideally in projects concerning compensation concepts)

- Swiss labor law, payroll and pension experience

- Experience in HRIS - implementation of group wide HRIM planned for 2019


- Highly efficient, organized, and structured

- “Do-er”, hands-on, results oriented; takes initiative;

- Excellent communicator with high presentation skills

- Multiculturality, able to work with all hierarchical levels

- Ambitious, loyal, dedicated, “can do” attitude


- German and/or English native or proficient

- Any other language a plus
