Job:- Functional Tester- Onsite - Zurich
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing approach planning & communication to stakeholders (Internal Client) & various Technical Teams, contributing to e2e journeys.
- Pragmatic risk-based approach to testing to ensure testing is as impactful and as defensive (in risk terms) as it can be
- Testing subject matter experts creating tests that describe and defend all required behaviours of the e2e journey.
- Execution of the defined e2e tests, in collaboration with the teams contributing to the journeys.
- Bring specific domain skill(s) to the project to enhance testing, specifically in the areas of Wealth Management and Investment Advice.
- Monitor test execution and environment availability across different test environments and proactively initiate issue resolving where tests fail or environments are unavailable.
- Preparation of required test data.
Required skills:
- Strong understanding of testing methodology across the different software levels (unit tests, integration tests, functional tests, e2e tests).
- Structured approach to defining and executing tests.
- “Can do” mentality and proactivity, including willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills.
- Capability to prioritize important and time-critical work over other tasks.
- Familiarity with most common software interaction patterns, e.g. xml and REST-based communication, as well as analysis of such, to pre-analyze issues, before handing them over to the responsible team(s).
- Familiarity with most common collaboration tools, like Jira and Confluence.
- Investment Advice know-how is a plus.
- Test automation skills are a plus.
